Another cracking good days punting yesterday and that despite it being poor racing. The only bet I myself had was a decent crack at that OF INTEREST selection and I’ll be honest, when it missed the break and was last after a furlong I thought I’d done my conkers.
It traded 25/1 in running and I’m not surprised because coming from that far off the pace at Musselburgh takes some doing.
KIKINI BAMALAAM pulled it off though and I was a happy man.
At 5-15pm the blokes at Astech Gold sent me the screenshot that evidenced how their own day had gone. They had, using the OF INTEREST selection and simply dutching the three races, produced a profit on the day of £260.31 and their profit after two weeks of using my figures to stress test their system, now sits at £1514.74
You can see that all they’ve done is play the OF INTEREST selection as advised, then take the top three rated from each race, applying natural progression when a non-runner cropped up and enjoyed a healthy profit on the afternoon.
I guess most would be extremely happy with a weekly profit of £757 and coppers.
They have chosen a good time to do this as we’ve had a decent enough little dry spell, it’s still very much the core season and the figures should be working as they are.
I was discussing with Gary via WhatsApp last night how the staking works, as it’s variable. The Astech Gold software basically decides your stake per play depending on the criteria you set. It is very much personal to you and your circumstances but the best thing to do is test it yourself to see if it suits your needs.
You can do that by visiting the Astech Gold website and creating a free trail. If you use the code PREXTRA, you’ll get a free month added on should you take up one of their packages.
Today I’ll be in the dark regarding all things racing as we are off to my brothers wedding and I’ll not get home until late. That most likely means my Newsletter tomorrow will go out a little later as the prep I’d usually have done by 10-00pm will not be done and I’ll be working like the clappers in the morning.
Below you have four Rated races for this afternoon, two from Sandown and a brace from Thirsk. It is really good racing today. I’ll have full figures and text added by 10-00am…..and they’ll be on the website.
I will also send out a second Newsletter containing those details.
Fingers crossed the lads at Astech are sending me a screenshot later that tells me more profits have been added.
Have a great day.
OF INTEREST SELECTIONS
(Thirsk 5-10) – 20/80
(Sandown 1-40) – 20/80
LA LA LAND
(Sandown 3-20) – 20/80
(Sandown 3-20) – 20/80
TODAY’S RATINGS AND ADVICE
SANDOWN 2-10 – CLASS 5
PERCEIVED DRAW BIAS: L-H/M
* – BABYFACT….+17
* – DR DORO….-1
T – SECRET ASSET….-4
§* – OUR LORD….-8
§3 – RED ALERT….-18
* – VERY HONEST….-30
§ – MERDON CASTLE….-31
3 – GNAAD….-40
NOTES: My top rated has the three ticks….2-5 ground, 2-7 trip and 1-1 track and with the only other previous course winner, SECRET ASSET (1-4), being 0-11 on the ground, and sitting third best on my figures, you’d be excused for thinking BABYFACT looks a half decent 20/80.
OUR LORD is a bang in form horse, he recently completed a hat-trick and is officially 9lb well in as he races of the same mark as that he recently went in by three lengths off. He is well drawn, 1-4 ground, 2-13 trip but races here for the fist time.
I’ll dutch that pair if a profit can be made and have that 20/80.
DUTCH: BABYFACT, OUR LORD
SANDOWN 4-25 – CLASS 5
PERCEIVED DRAW BIAS:
* – SARANGOO….+15
3 – MISS OSIER….-36
3 – TWILIGHT SPIRIT….-40
3 – MISSISSIPPI MISS….-40
3 – VIOLET’S LADS….-40
NOTES: If I were to play this race all I could do is work with the ratings as they’ve fallen. Statistically this stinks and my top rated is already 0-3 here.
My second highest rated is 0-3 on the ground and just 1-18 trip, so I’m thinking that if one of the 3-y-o’s isn’t good enough to win this, they’ll never win anything.
I’ll most likely not even consider a bet here.
THIRSK 4-05 – CLASS 3
PERCEIVED DRAW BIAS: M-L-H
* – THE ARMED MAN….+21
T3* – HART STOPPER….+12
§* – RELATED….+10
§* – RED PIKE….+9
* – MUJASSAM….+8
* – CLASSIC SENIORITY….+6
§* – ART COLLECTION….+2
* – LEXINGTON TIMES….+1
§ – CAPTAIN DION….-4
* – MUNTADAB….-5
3 – FULL INTENTION….-35
T3 – EL HOMBRE….-37
NOTES: A right little belter. My top rated horse is 3-3 here, RED PIKE is 1-1, MUNTADAB is 1-1, all three have succeeded over trip and on the ground as currently described, and with two of those in my top six, they are in my dutch.
I have a 3-y-o sitting second best, travelled to be here and good to go on the ground.
The 1-2 ground and 3-6 trip stats impress so, despite never having raced here previously, in it goes.
DUTCH: THE ARMED MAN, HART STOPPER, RED PIKE
20/80: THE ARMED MAN
EXOTICS: THE ARMED MAN, HART STOPPER, RED PIKE
THIRSK 4-40 – CLASS 4
PERCEIVED DRAW BIAS: H-M-L
T* – MY DAD SYD….+11
* – FIELDSMAN….+10
§* – GOD WILLING….+10
§* – MANGO CHUTNEY….+9
* – CHAPLIN BAY….+6
3 – BENJAMIN THOMAS….-8
T§ – VINCENZO COCCOTTI….-18
* – ROUND THE ISLAND….-23
§ – KIRKHAM….-40
NOTES: MANGO CHUTNEY is the only one here that has three ticks so, as he’s also drawn a decent trap to work with, he’s in.
MY DAD SYD always flatters to deceive and that’s certainly highlighted by his 1-8 ground and 1-10 trip stats. Both they make him better than most from that angle and, having been sent on a journey and sitting top rated, he is in, too.
With stats limited I guess I do really have to concentrate on figures/icons and so, GOD WILLING gets third spot in the dutch/exotics.
If i have read the draw bias correctly then FIELDSMAN has bought a bad one. He’s currently trading favourite and sits second best. The stable and jockey have been going really well lately and it’d be no shock if he pops up but, I’ve my way of working and will stick to it.
Not a race I’m overly keen on so staking low.
DUTCH: MY DAD SYD, GOD WILLING, MANGO CHUTNEY
20/80: MANGO CHUTNEY
EXOTICS: MY DAD SYD, GOD WILLING, MANGO CHUTNEY
