I’m looking forward to seeing the new attackers of both sides. Lacazette has been compared to Ian Wright and I have always liked Iheanacho. Obviously though he had no chance of a start at City because of the likes of Aguero hanging around but it’s interesting that City have a buy-back clause involved in the sale to Leicester.
The game between these 2 sides last season was won 1-0 by Arsenal, an own goal by Huth the difference on the day.
On the head-to-head count only 1 tram can win the match tomorrow night and that’s Arsenal. Leicester have not managed a win in any of the last 21 games between this pair, Arsenal having won 14 and drawn 7. In the 10 Premiership games between them, arsenal have won 7 and drawn 3.
Leicester will not be arriving here expecting to win because the Gunners have won their last 10 Premier league home games against Leicester and that must cause an inferiority complex.
Vardy does well against the home side though and he has actually scored Leicester’s last 3 goals against them. In 2 of those games Leicester actually took the lead but couldn’t pull off a win.
The minute Wenger decided to go 3 at the back last season, Arsenal were practically unbeatable and they finished the season better than any other team. They got a really good player in Kolasinac who cost them nothing and I have him in my Fantasy team.
The one thing that might put you off punting Arsenal is the fact they’ve lost 3 of the last 4 opening games of the season but with that fact off-set but their record against Leicester at home, I expect them to get the 3 points.
ARSENAL TO BE WINNING HT/FT – 1 POINT @ 5/4
ARSENAL TO WIN 2-0 – .5 POINT @ 7/1
As you know these are “sighters” only, as Ron would say but I’ll be surprised if I’m wrong about who wins the game.
