The website was down for a couple of hours this afternoon and my apologies for that. It meant, unfortunately, I could not complete this post, nor could anyone access the information introduced below but, what the result indicates is, we can look forward to a superb summer of playing, and laying.
Below is how I’m now looking to format this section although, on exceptionally busy days, this might be altered a little.
It will indicate which races have been rated and which have selections entered in the OF INTEREST section of the Newsletter, as they will not be duplicated in here, nor will anyone be confused by several different horses being mentioned in multiple areas of the website.
2-00 – SUMMER WEDDINGS AT WESTERN HOUSE HOTEL NOVICE STAKES (Class 5) (2yo) Winner £3,235 7 runners 5f Good To Firm RUK
A juvenile event is consisting of just seven runners is unlikely to ever attract a lay suggestion.
2-30 – BOOK DIRECT AT WESTERN HOUSE HOTEL HANDICAP (Class 6) (4yo+) Winner £2,588 7 runners 5f Good To Firm RUK
I would be inclined to lay TEEPEE TIME if it ever trades 4 or shorter (unlikely). Her trainer is 0-11 with 3+ year olds here over the last five years, and in LONGROOM she faces a gelding in form, trading long odds on and will win if in anything like the form it was in when winning at Musselburgh.
3-00 – FOLLOW @RACING_UK ON TWITTER HANDICAP (Class 6) (4yo+) Winner £2,588 15 runners 6f Good To Firm RUK
I have rated this event and the two currently heading the tissue, OUR PLACE IN LOULE and LITTLE CUPCAKE look decidedly dodgy but currently trade to big for me to suggest a lay….7.2 and 8.2 respectively.
Should either ever go close to 4 or lower, lay it.
3-30 – TENNENT’S HANDICAP (Class 6) (3yo) Winner £2,588 11 runners 7f50y Good To Firm RUK
ARNOLD trades 3.3 right now and I believe that is to short, coming from a yard that is 0-26 with horses aged 3+ at this track, over the last five years.
It is a race that is seriously lacking in what might be described as a serious rival but with several open to a little improvement, I’d lay to minimal exposure.
It’s a Class 6 event and not a race you’d want to be heavily involved in playing or laying.
LAY – ARNOLD
