I have produced four rated races, including the Haldon Gold Cup, which is a very competitive handicap.
1-20 – BATHWICK TYRES “NATIONAL HUNT” NOVICES´ HURDLE (CLASS 3) (4yo+) Winner £5,523 7 runners 2m5f135y Good
None of these have raced over hurdles before so your guess as to which can, and cannot, jump, is going to be every bit as good as mine.
The current tissue has the predictable three trading almost co-favourite and it’s not a race for betting.
1-50 – BATHWICK TYRES PLYMOUTH NOVICES´ HURDLE (CLASS 3) (4yo+) Winner £5,523 9 runners 2m175y Good
Again for me to bet here hinges on my having an opinion on several I cannot possibly have an opinion on. RESOLUTION BAY, for instance, currently trades favourite on the back of a shocking run in a Bumper last season. No doubt holds that position based o0n connections….is the market right, or wrong?
I have absolutely no idea!
2-50 – 188BET.CO.UK NOVICES´ CHASE (CLASS 2) (4yo+) Winner £14,076 6 runners 3m54y Good
Harry Whittington has an extremely high opinion of EMERGING FORCE and he is considered very much a future Grand National horse. The proverbial “whatever he does over hurdles is a bonus” quotes were being made last season as he’s considered an out and out steeplechaser. Ground and trip are perfect and if he handles the track the two close to him in the market will need to be on their A game to get close to him.
I’m never going to advocate we play odds on in handicap steeplechases and so will just be watching with an eye on the future.
With two meetings taking place tomorrow I’d be pretty sure WE’LL HAVE SOMETHING TO WORK WITH.
have a great day
