The majority have raced already but are no great shakes and the market tells a tale….all bar three are 16/1 or bigger.
SMOKEY LANE has been flying high in comparison to this race and last time up was a near nine length 6th of eight to MOKARIS, in a decent Class 1 event at Newbury.
If he reproduces that form, he wins this unless the Hannon newcomer is any good.
Henry candy likes his SUN ANGEL but a third run here suggests a nursery next.
Not a race I’d have a bet in myself but I’m thinking the winner is either SMOKEY LANE or ENDEAVOUR although I do know that that last named as considered an early season juvenile and something must have gone wrong early doors.
The 6-00 is now a four runner seller and the least said about it, the better. If you gave me money to launder here I’d go buy a beer and a pie.
The joys of Windsor….you really should only bet here if you are gong to be there for a night out! A wonderful 11 runner 3-y-o Maiden comes next at 6-30 and you are being invited to take odds on about a five times raced Gosden horse that was beaten into third last time out, going off 4/7 in a five runner event.
It is 20/1 bar four and actually 6/1 bar two….if one of the front pair on the tissue don’t win, expect them to be going through the ring in October!
Again not a race you’d find me punting in a month of Sundays.
Now we reach the 7-00pm event….a Class 4 fillies Handicap and another that has cut up to four runners in which you are again being invited to take odds on about a once raced filly that has not seen a racecourse in 311 days.
How can anyone even consider getting involved in that?
A proper race at 7-30pm. They had to have at least one, didn’t they!

Now, if this were being run at one of the good tracks, I’d be salivating….but it’s Windsor.
What would I do with it elsewhere? I’d be like that kid in the candy store again, wanting something of everything.
No fewer than eight of these boast three ticks for going, trip and track. One horse stands out from that aspect….RIO RONALDO….3-5 here and totally in love with the place and at opposite ends of that spectrum to myself!
I would have to put him in a dutch.
The ground is absolutely perfect for SYDNEY RUFFDIAMOND. Howe is 3-6 on the good to firm they have forecast and with him also being 1-4 here, he too would be in my dutch. Will first time headgear improve him?
My top rated would be the third in my dutch. The 1-2 Windsor stat allied to that rating I have make her more than interesting.
Like I say though, anywhere but here and this would be a race I’d be all over like a bad rash.
They finish the card with a six rummer all aged handicap that I’d again be loathe to punt, even if I were there tonight.None that have raced here have won here, they’ve “amassed” just five wins between them from the 25 runs on good to firm, and the 6/4 ICKYMASHO looks toxic given she’s 1-5 ground and 1-6 trip.
A not bet race to finish.
7-30….Dutch ROSIE’S PREMIERE, SYDNEY RUFFDIAMOND, RIO RONALDO
20/80 SYDNEY RUFFDIAMOND
EXOTICS SAME THREE.
Best of luck if you are betting here but do not expect to go home rich!
