MUZEEL (5-45) – STRAIGHT WIN
ZAIN ARION (7-20) – 20/80
I suppose I should be all over RONALD R like a bad rash in the opener. Currently the market leader he ran a very good race on debut but I’m looking at a stat that puts me off him very quickly.
Michael Bell has employed Jamie Spencer 21 times here in the last five years and they’ve enjoyed just one winner.
Paul Hanagan, on the other hand, has been locked up by Sir Michael Stoute six times in the same period and they’ve a smashing 33% strike rate.
MUZEEL for me.
The 6-15 is an all 3-y-o handicap, Class 6, full to the brim with moose and whilst I’d be thinking high drawn might…might…have an advantage, I’d not trust it.
I’ll not make a sound about this one because if I couldn’t back a horse in it. I’d not be telling you to do so.
At 6-45 we have a proper horse race. However, nothing has ever raced here before, let alone won here, only one has won on the ground they’ll face and statistically it screams “leave me alone”…I’m listening!
7-20….interesting that Charlie Fellowes has booked Stevie Donohoe to ride ZAIN ARION, a 3-y-o having just it’s fifth run tonight. Trainer/jockey are 2/3 here over the last few years AND fellowes himself has a 50% record with horse of this age over the same time span. I’ll have a little 20/80.
The 7-50…if you threw a stick this lot but be after it like rats up a drainpipe. From a stats angle it’s as dead as a dormouse. From a form angle it’s been cremated and if you were to even consider punting it, you need divine intervention to help you draw a profit. shocker and not for me.
This 8-20 is nearly as bad and but for the very short priced favourite it would be. It’s simply typical of racing at tracks like this and the reason I no longer produce ratings here.
The get out stakes at 8-50 is a class above….and by that I mean, a Class 5.
None has managed a win on the ground we have this evening, the two that have raced here previously have a zero stat against there names and it’s simply not a race I’d want to work with…ever.
Best of luck
