Today’s Ratings and Advice 13/08/15

Ron RobinsonWe have seen the figures producing the goods this week, as the week has progressed and yesterday was very enjoyable.

The race at Beverley that gave me that draw bias of middle played out brilliantly. Two of the four that were exactly where I wanted them to be with regards Rating and draw came home 1st and 2nd @ 18/1 and 7/1 and the £164.50 exacta and the £138.95 CSF were plucked from it.

It was also the first race this week that I’d spotted up a lay advice for the members at Tippedtolose. The very short priced favourite, HOOFALONG, was at times trading around 6/4 and my advice was to lay to minimal exposure. My feeling here was that if that horse didn’t get the lead from the off then he’d sulk. From that 12 draw it was going to be difficult and it simply panned out brilliantly.

That Salisbury race was left well alone but I worked with Bath as I’d indicated…small staking….and all three top rated horses won their races.

Very pleased with my days work.

TODAY

I’m providing figures for Beverley and Salisbury in this message. I have prepped my numbers for both Ffos Las and Lingfield and will send them out this afternoon. I’ll be in honest in my assessment as to whether they are fit for purpose….or not.

I’ll start my prepping for both tomorrow and Saturday this afternoon and set up the competitions over at The Goal Posts.

The next two days are my busiest of the week and I’ll be honest, the sooner the evening racing knocks it on the head, the better. The finishing times are getting earlier and in two weeks I start preparing for the NH season. I cannot believe the summer has gone by so fast, just 48 days left before we start sending out the NH sighters.

I’m looking forward to a superb winter’s racing but still plenty of superb flat racing to come and it’s York next week. I’m hoping the forecast rains do not cause the clash between Golden Horn and Gleneagles next Wednesday. That should be a race and a half it it take place.
