Today’s Ratings and Advice 26/05/15

Ron RobinsonIt was absolute murder here yesterday. I live just a couple of hundred yards from New Brighton promenade and you will have seen on the news that the three Queens were doing their bit on the River Mersey.

I had to leave home to purchase Karen’s birthday presents….21 again today….and I have never seen traffic like it. The number of people walking to see the show were four deep on the pavement areas and it was mayhem.

I was again seriously pleased with how the numbers worked. It’s as important for laying as it is for betting, that my figures are accurate and with eight of the nine races having the winner in my top six, that certainly raises confidence going forward into June and what will historically be the most profitable months of July/August.

TODAY

A bit of a chance to draw breath with just five rated races to look at.

Very strange that all five are nine runner races at the time I am writing and it’s low grade stuff that will simply be played in my usual way.

I am looking forward to a couple of races at Leicester with an eye on Royal Ascot. That juvenile race at 5-00pm sees the debut of DARK CRESCENT, who his trainer is hopeful will be going there after this. We’ll see.

I will be in Manchester treating Karen to an afternoon out before returning to prep tomorrow’s racing and then looking at Royal Ascot.

PODCAST

The best laid plans….I have an issue with the software I downloaded to edit/upload the podcast and will be replacing it today. We will attempt to start again tomorrow.

TIPPEDTOLOSE

A fair few members have seen fit to hook up to this and tomorrow I will set up a group using a bulk texting facility. Members of Tippedtolose will start receiving texts from TTL in the near future.

Our day started superbly well with a lay of RYLEE MOOCH. That race also provided me with a very nice 64/1 exacta and another indication that the figures really are coming together.

NOTES: My top rated is right at home here. A 25% wins to runs ratio at the track, a 25% strike rate at the trip and a winner of three of his 18 races at this trip.

The two horses indicated T* are the dangers. Whilst he is the only other winner at this track here this afternoon, WHISPERED TIMES would, if stats are right, appear to be looking for a different feel underfoot and a different trip to race over, just 1-19 on good to firm and 1-11 over the mile…although that was over this mile!

I do expect the winner to come from rated horses 1, 2 and 4…most likely 4 as he is extremely lightly raced and open to more improvement
