As I mentioned yesterday, I have now stopped betting on the jumpers and will not part with a bean until May 1st.
Now I am concentrating my efforts on making your summer profitable. I have the name of one I expect to prove much better as a 3-y-o and yep, he’s from the stable of Sir Mark Prescott. From April 13th I will be drip feeding the 20 to follow for this coming flat season, on to the website.
They will be primarily handicappers as those currently top of the pecking order are not exactly hidden from view. If I can find us another Taghrooda though, that would be nice!
I have a very good feeling about 2015. Plenty of positive things are going on and I’m particularly looking forward to going down to see Harry Fry with a view to us getting involved with him in a bigger way and my ambition is to get you to Cheltenham next year. That’s on my bucket list.
Yesterday saw me wincing as three top rated winners on there bounce went in and I questioned my sanity with regards stopping betting a few days earlier than normal. The figures in the period since Cheltenham have proven to be extremely accurate.
It’s very much end of season racing being served up by both Stratford and Uttoxeter….they feel like “off meetings” to no main meeting….everything revolves around Doncaster and the Lincoln.
I’m half tempted to rate the two big field mile races from there just to get back into the old routine and if I do, I’ll get them on the website by 11-00am. They will not be fit for purpose just yet but it’s an itch…I may have to scratch it.
No text added to the rated races as I’m simply not interested in betting them but you know how I would approach them anyway.
On Monday, May 4th I will commence a new service.
I have been promising for a while now to have www.tippedtolose.co.uk up and running and on that day it will be up and live.
The last year has been me getting back to something like full health and many of the things I wanted to do simply couldn’t be done because for the majority of my day I resembled a maraca, so many tablets were going down my neck. I believe I also seriously underestimated exactly what had happened to me!
As the dose was lowered I have had wobbly moments, that’s for sure but now I’m down to eight from what seemed a million at one point. Gone from weekly to monthly bloods and my main concern now is shifting this weight that has built up because of the steroids….that should be a laugh!
By the end of April, I will be down to just three and trust me, that’s a milestone!
Anyway, tippedtolose….I know a few of you are seriously looking forward to working with this, especially after the performance demonstrated in the year before the legs disappeared!
I was going to have it as part of the Post Racing site but I’m now thinking it has to be wholly separate. It will be its own entity. If laying horses is your thing, I believe you’ll enjoy this.
I will, each day, be using my figures to provide you with bad favourites we can look to get stuck into. I make more profit from laying horses than I do betting them and have for a fair few years now used my numbers for this purpose. I’m hoping to beat that figure of 36 (I think it was), consecutive favourites laid and beaten, over the course of a season.
