Today’s Ratings and Advice 19/03/15

Ron RobinsonBack to normal. Good old Openreach got to work earlier than expected and my Broadband was up and running against before 8-30am yesterday.

The figures yesterday were very good, too and I made a couple of £’s whilst playing catch up with work that should have been done on Tuesday.

Last night I attended the meeting with the Clatterbridge League of Friends that saw the Sensory Garden Project rubber stamped and given charitable status.

They have very kindly given us permission to use their charitable status and will be creating a JustGiving page through which people will be able to make a donation. They have already created the bank account to which those payments will be made and now all I have to do is get creative as regards fund raising activities.

I advised them that I was hoping to get permission to do a sponsored walk around aintree on Grand National day but was advised that they have already been granted fund raising permission there on that day so, I’m looking at something else….definitely racing related though!

The next step is to get my face on radio (best place for it, trust me!). I’ll be contacting both my local radio stations next week to get that air time they have promised and we shall get to see just how generous the people of Merseyside and Wirral are.

I’ve a project in mind that I’ll be looking to push forward during the summer that will see not just Clatterbridge benefitting but any charity, anywhere, that wishes to utilise it.

TODAY

I’m in the middle of putting a Newsletter together that will be a mixture of good, bad and ugly….in terms of news imparted.

This month has given me a heck of a lot to think about simply because of the actions and attitude of a surprisingly large number of people. You’ll understand what I’m going on about when you read it. Stunned, I’ve been.

I’ll be advising you of an issue down at Harry’s yard that has meant he’s had to batten down the hatches until everything is clear again.

On the racing front we have five rated races to mess around with and we’ll hopefully have a little more profit to play with come the weekend.

THE WEBSITE

We have a little problem to overcome, that being the old home page is displaying when you are logged out but the new site emerging once you are logged in….not sure what is going on here and it is giving the techies a headache.

It will eventually get sorted and as far as I’m concerned, with the NH season now coming to a close, I’ll be happy to give them until the end of April….but it had better be done long before then!

CONTACTING ME

I’m now back on all mail boxes so feel reed to use any to get in touch with me if there is anything I can do for you.
