I have a list….a very short list….of members who are behind with their subscriptions and I will be contacting you today. I’m afraid that if you are unable to bring things up to date then your membership will be terminated this afternoon.
I cannot begin to tell you how fast yesterday went. I got plenty done, had a conversation through the Chat facility, with Daniel of Ladbrokes (that sounds a bit Robin of Loxley!), as their website went belly up during the process of placing those bets that are the quiz prizes.
I had placed the first bet and was midway through the second when they started price adjustments. Once things had settled down I noticed the e.w. options had been removed so Daniel and I chatted.
His advice….”clear your betting slip and then rebuild”….he had, apparently, input the bet at his end with no problem.
I cleared the slip, entered the selections again and with those e.w. options now back in place, clicked PLACE BET.
The site went down, a message of it being a “temporary issue” splashed onto the screen and I immediately had a vision of “Sheriff of Nottingham”.
William of Hill got the rest of the bets.
We again have just one rated race today.
I’m again glad.
I will not be betting today.
With no quiz to finalise I can now start posting text into those races we’ll be betting on next week. You will find shortlists and my reasoning applied to those I have an opinion on at this present time.
Did we make the market move last night? The Druids Nephew was 9.2 when that Newsletter went out. It’s now 8.6.
This afternoon it’s again prepping for tomorrow. We have the potential for 10 rated races with three meetings taking place so, another very busy one here.
The only inbox I will be physically able to monitor is the admin one so if you need to contact me for anything at all the best e-mail address to use is firstname.lastname@example.org – I’ll get back at some point, promise!

MY PLAY – This has all the punting appeal of haemorrhoids. Given the choice of punting this or an afternoon of deep sea trawling, those heavy yellow waterproofs are donned. Get the picture?
Have a great day and the best of luck if you get involved.
