Today’s Ratings and Advice 18/02/15

Ron RobinsonFor a little while now I’d had a funny feeling in my right hand. Yesterday my ring finger on that hand felt numb and I had to go and have the ring, that had been on that finger for 40 years, cut off.

Apparently the finger had swelled from R to Y1/2…..I thought it was fine because the ring could still be turned….and it looks a strange sight now. The guy doing the cutting explained to me that the skin/flesh that should have grown where the ring sat, had been forced up toward the middle knuckle and I now have to massage a non-scented hand cream in for an hour each night, for the next month, to try and sort out the very thin skin that now exists where the ring sat.

It’s never plain sailing this end, eh!

I was very happy with my work for yesterday. The highest rated horse indicated * in that Taunton 3-10, Midnight Lira, won @ 13/2, Fox Norton winning the 3-45 landed my dutch and profit, nobody without access to a De Lorean could have seen that 4-15 result coming so I’ve not been hard on myself for not finding that 33/1, 40/1 CSF….and we finished off the Taunton meeting with a nice 2/1 winner in the Bumper.

Makadamia was a good 9/2 winner for the OF INTEREST section and the other pair in that section came close to landing the “80” portions but finished fourth in their respective races @ 25/1 and 10/1.

The figures for that Wetherby 3-55 would have been upheld I’m sure, had the top rated horse not suffered an injury (I’m still trying to find out how At Reception is, as nothing has been entered into the Stewards report on the BHA website), and those now using nothing but those horses indicated T* will have had a decent result with the only other horse in that race winning @ 20/1 > 16/1.

You also owe Jason Maquire a beer because that horse had no chance a mile out. He simply refused to give in and the horse only picked up the bit on the run in, flashing past everything to get up near the line.

TODAY

I need a clear run at things today. Loads to do in readiness for the 23rd and I sense midnight oil being burned over the next five days.

Best crack on then!

LOGIN ISSUES

I have had a fair few e-mails and messages regarding members having a problem logging in. What has happened is that we had to load a back up of the website recently that has meant those that have had their details entered into the dates between January 30/01/15 – 11/02/15 may not now exist in the database….because you were not there prior to 30/01/15.

With Cheltenham on the horizon now can you please make sure your login details are working for you. If not please e-mail me contact@postracing.net and I will have this looked at for you.
