Today’s Ratings and Advice 13/02/15

Ron RobinsonReally pleased I can now get back to normal again after all the messing about with IT.

What this means for those that have become members since 30/01/15 is that you will have to be entered into the website database again. This means you will not be able to login. Anyone already a member before that date will be fine.

My apologies for the inconvenience that may cause you.

It also means that I’ll be able to start posting up everything on the site again though and with what’s due to happen soon, that’s good news!

We are seeing new members coming on board and a warm welcome to you if you are reading this for the first time. Over there next few weeks you’ll be advised of plans we are putting in place to improve on what you currently have available to you.

I’ll not go into detail right now but it genuinely is an exciting year ahead.

On the 18th of Feb I’ll be sitting down with the Clatterbridge League of Friends at 8-00pm, to discuss our utilising their charitable status to collect donations for the Sensory Garden I have made a personal crusade and, once that has been rubber stamped and a JustGiving page created, I’ll then be able to set about raising the £25k we now need to cover the complete build.

We are nearly there!

TODAY

Just four races and the first at Fakenham is shocking stuff. My top rated picked up nearly £600 last time out for finishing 91 lengths behind Faugheen in a Grade 2 Hurdle. Obviously their is no Faugheen here but that won’t stop me swerving that race like it has plague.

Gordon Elliot has sent over the top weight and that must be interesting but as for the race being a betting proposition….not for me.

The other three are ripe for a bit of a play and I’ve added how I will be looking to work those races.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE ON THE POST RACING APP?

I have not received any ideas as of yet so, I’m thinking…is an app something you would actually use?

The development cost would be pretty hefty and I’m thinking it might be money better spent elsewhere…unless you e-mail me contact@postracing.net to say you think it is a good idea….even if you don’t have anything particular you might like to see available through it.

ASSUMPTIONS:

  • Fakenham / Fri 13 Feb
    Updated @ Thu 12 Feb

    Going/Track

Good to soft (GoingStick: 6.4 on Thursday at 08:15)

Rails: Fresh strip ground on both hurdle and chase courses.

  • Weather

Dry Wed night. Forecast: Dry, low cloud Thurs and into Fri. Fri morning possible light showers and at about 2pm until 5pm a front coming over giving total 3mm rain.

  • Other

Ground has improved greatly and with dry Thurs it is likely some ground could be good by racing, but then the Fri forecast rain will set things back – but dependant on rain amounts!

  • Sandown Park / Fri 13 Feb
    Updated @ Thu 12 Feb

    Going/Track

Chase – Good, Good to Soft places (60/40) Hurdle – Good to Soft, Soft places (Back Straight Good places) (GoingStick: Chase 7.0 Hurdle 6.5 on Thursday at 06:45)

Rails: Home Bend will be shared but rail movements elsewhere mean no effect on race distances.

  • Weather

Dry until overnight Thursday into Friday when showers are possible. Continuing through Friday morning until band of rain arrives early afternoon 3-4mm. Windy Friday.

  • Other

A one-off ceremonial gun will be fired from the centre of the course at 12.45pm, away from the grandstands. From past experience this can hardly be heard in the racecourse stables. There will be no pre-racing parade in Esher High Street.

MY PLAY – My top two love it here. Going, trip and track are only of benefit and if I were to change my mind about betting only one of my rated races today I’d probably just play that pair to a dutch, go 20/80 MIDNIGHT CHARMER (because of that T), and have a small exotic. Between them they have raced here 15 times and won nine of them, they have 19 races between them over this trip and won eight of them. Midnight Charmer is 3-5 at here and the Fakenham form figures (try saying that after a few scoops!), of Full Ov Beans is impressive 12111112….an interesting race, no?

MY PLAY – I’ll dutch rated horses 1, 3 and 5, go 20/80 ON TREND and work up those exotics. Good little race this….in fact both rated races here are very interesting.

SANDOWN 4-15 (Final figures)

* – TRESOR DE BONTE….+9

MY PLAY – I’m just going to work with my top pair. dutch, a 20/80 Tresor De Bonte and exotics. The best race of the day for me.

Have a good evening.

Kindest regards

Ron
