Paddy Power Handicap Chase, Friday 14/11/14, Profiled

Ron RobinsonCheltenham….like a breath of fresh air, isn’t it?

I can get a right good look at such races and most provides me with enough history to be able to produce a profile and I’ve certainly decided this is one we should be looking at.

Seven of the last 10 winners were aged seven or eight and my first shortlist looks like this:

KARINGA DANCER
NEXT SENSATION
ASTRACAD
SHANGANI
DE FAOITHESDREAM
LAST SHOT
BOLD HENRY
MONETAIRE
HOLLOW BLUE SKY
ROBIN’S COMMAND
GOING CONCERN

The tissue has been an awesome guide to helping us find this winner and the last 10 renewals were won by horses trading in the first six in the market….next shortlist:

KARINGA DANCER
MONTAIRE
BOLD HENRY
NEXT SENSATION
ROBIN’S COMMAND

Only one of the last 10 winners have managed to carry more than 11st 6lb and I have to remove Harry’s horse plus Next Sensation

MONTAIRE
BOLD HENRY
ROBIN’S COMMAND

At the current odds a dutch is certainly a sensible option and I would be happy to go down that road, with exotics.

If I’m looking for just one horse to carry my shekels then it’s ROBIN’S COMMAND that get’s a smallish 20/80.

Six of the last 10 winners had won or placed on their latest start and the other pair are making their seasonal debuts which, whilst no serious drawback (two of the last four did the same thing and won), does put the ball firmly in the Rose Dobbin trained horse’s court.

I’ll be pinning my faith in the dutch producing my own profit here.
