Well, I missed a good day, didn’t I. I had managed to get a 12-30pm appointment at Vision Express and went through the eye test procedure, new prescription (I was due one and, apparently, my astigmatism has gone from .5 to 1.5 in the last two years so, new specs), and with it being a nice day up here I got Karen out of the house and took her for lunch.
It meant I saw no racing until very late afternoon and had missed a fair bit of fun. I made up for it at Hamilton though!
The figures yesterday were in superb form. Those playing “old school”, simply using my top three for everything, had nine winning races. Those playing top rated only also saw a good bit of success.
I received a cracking message from the guy that won the £5k during Chester week:
What a day.
I had a significant look at today’s races & there were 6 I liked & felt confident would be the best options of drawing a profit.
Result – 6 winners & a 62/1 tricast in the 7.40 @ Hamilton to cap it off.
Everybody will play things differently & have their own way of going about things, I’m no different.
I have a list of tracks I simply won’t touch on the flat,Yarmouth, Bath, Chepstow, Windsor, Lingfield, Brighton to name 6 off the top of my head.
I started with a bank a couple of years ago now & played with £10 stakes a horse, I’m now up to £50.
All in all it’s just another pat on the back in all honestly.
Keep up the fantastic work”
I’ll be sure to, Jon, if they keep the rains away!
Like I keep saying, it’s how you yourself uses my work, once you have it in front of you. Jon saw fit to use my top three rated for exotics at 7-40 last night and it showed that finding that draw bias in an eight runner race was bang on the money, with a nice 62/1 tricast/57/1 trifecta landed.
It is a strange one. We have plenty of racing but very few betting opportunities. I love Newbury, it’s my favourite track for punting but they provide nothing for me today.
Hopefully we’ll get consistent ground and a profit.
