A quiet day on the betting side yesterday and, as forecast, another one today. It wont do us any harm to stop and smell the roses for a couple of days before the weekend racing arrives and yesterday I could have been found firstly at Dunham Massey then in the crockery department at Lewis’s, Cheadle. I got home just in time to see my only top rated winner of the day, Kodicil, lead from start to finish in the Ripon finale…and that one was only top rated by natural progression.
Today I’ll be having a site mapping session with Adam, our web guru, who is busy working on the new football website and I’m sure we’ll come up with a few things to entertain members on that site. It is going to be a little gem. Researching it has been fun, too and I’ve found things I’d like to integrate into Post Racing itself. It really is going to be a continual evolution…which is as it should be.
I’m also going over to see Rosie this morning. The results of her bloods have come back and, thankfully, something has shown up. It has since been discovered she has swollen glands and once I have chatted to Paul this morning I’ll come back with a full report and discuss it in tomorrow’s podcast.
Speaking of which, I also have to put down on paper the agenda for that and get it over to Sean but I reckon I’ve got one you should be getting on ante-post….more in that podcast. Once all that has been done I’ll be working on tomorrow’s racing and again thankfully, it’s another quiet one, just two races from Hamilton and a couple at Lingfield. Friday is when the fun begins again!

ADVICE – My top rated has a complete pig of a draw and in four previous attempts at this track has finished unplaced each time. Those punting the top rated horses blind….you have been warned. You need a low draw, that’s for sure and my top two are drawn high. Their current tissue price reflects their chances very accurately. Rated horse three and four, by contrast, have everything absolutely spot on and I’ll just dutch them, go straight win GOTTCHER, because BAYBESHAMBLES has not won a race of any description since 2009 and I do expect to be banking a profit off this one.
It’s simply another day that screams “do something else!”….my own staking will reflect just what I think of that lot.
Have a great day, see you tomorrow
