So, the horse beaten a total of 166 lengths in his last three runs won that horrific race and someone knew what was going to happen yesterday as recorded bets of £4500 – £1000 and two of £1800 – £400 were recorded. I didn’t have a single bet yesterday. i watched as Prince Tam ran well to finish second to the outsider of the field at 2-20, I watched as old Political Paddy finished second to that gamble mentioned above and I watched as two of the four indicated as having previously won on heavy finished second and third @ 18/1 and 16/1 respectively….to one that hadn’t.
I would not have bet on that racing yesterday, for all the tea in China.
I was very surprised to see Fakenham go, given the report I saw regarding the going….grass white but the frost has not got in….then hear it has been called off due to….frost. Very strange goings on.
Today the planned inspection at Plumpton has been called off….the meeting goes ahead.
PLUMPTON – SOFT
* DENOTES A HORSE HAVING PREVIOUSLY WON ON SOFT
ADVICE – My top pair are the only ones here having won on soft so, they’ll be dutched, it’ll be a 20/80 my top rated and an exotic.
*NO NO BINGO….+15
ADVICE – This is actually a little cracker of a race. You can actually make a case for all of them winning. Rated horses 5 & 6 are winners over the trip, my third best has previously won at Plumpton, the rest have no such recommendations but, I’m going to trust my numbers, dutch my top pair, have my 20/80 NO NO BINGO….because he’s the younger of my top two, improving and, get’s nearly a stone off a horse that quite clearly finds winning a trial.
TURBO DU RANCH….-20
ADVICE – I do not have enough data regarding TIDAL BAY to be pedantic about laying him…but I will. Not to huge amounts because it’s not really a race you could be pedantic about anything winning! Rated horses 1, 2 and 4 all have soft ground wins in their CV’s and i’ll play them dutched, go 20/80 AWARD WINNER, and use them for exotics.
*ON THE FEATHER….+3
MAN OF LEISURE….-26
ADVICE – Whoever named my bottom rated horse deserves everything they get! Not a race I’m going to be overly indulging in, to be honest and with just ON THE FEATHER the only previous winner on soft in this field, and a previous CD winner to boot, I’ll dutch my top three, use that one for my 20/80 and have pennies on those exotics.
The three remaining race offer up odds on shots in all of them. Not my cup of java at all and I’ll just settle for playing those Rated races today.
I must mention that the horse I believed would be a BET OF THE DAY should have raced at Fakenham yesterday. I was not going to post the name up because it had gone long odds on and that’s not what that bet is about. The name was MIDNIGHT APPEAL….he’ll be placed to win soon.
Have a brilliant day and the very best of luck
